Helping others help themselves
Merry Christmas to everyone reading this message. Every year around the world families struggle to put food on the table. Each year donations are sent to a charity food drive in their area to help those less fortunate. However, is this enough? As kind as some hearts are to help those in need, how does this help them become self-sufficient? What happens after eating one meal? In less than eight hours we will be hungry for more food.
The following message is a small update. Normally there are no posts on Friday, but this is an exception.
On Tuesday November 30, 2021, this website is celebrating a charity food drive of a different kind. The next 12 posts are all vegetarian and vegan recipes that are low in cost, building up to a large family and friends dinner.
It is evident that there are a rising number of people visiting food kitchens because feeding families is becoming more difficult. The prices of food continue to rise. Although donating and feeding people with canned and boxed foods is helpful, it is not a permanent solution. Here is another solution to help solve the problem of worldwide hunger.
Purchase an Authentic Homemade Vegetarian Cookbook on Amazon today. This book will help you prepare a vegetarian Christmas dinner for Christmas.
Start building what you need up to December 25th. If you find these meals after the holidays you can make them at a later date. It is this way for two reasons. The first is that there is no big Christmas celebration in my home. Secondly, each meal is large enough to fill you up with one serving.
Therefore one or two of the recipes ahead are a full meal on its own. The quantity per plate changes depending on the number of items you choose to add on to your family feast.
Warm up with some healthy comfort winter food that does not cost much. It is a fraction of the cost of a traditional dinner and equally as satiating. The suggested meals are loaded with healthy vegetables, fruits and fats. The cost is what a family of four normally will pay for a traditional Christmas dinner.
This is a charity food drive of a different kind. Cost effectiveness and resource allocation helps make a charity food drive run successfully. Teach the value of self-sufficiency. Feed the world organization one by one.
The following is not a quote by me as I do not eat fish. Otherwise, this is how I feel about sharing this message with you.
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”. -Ancient Wisdom
