It is another thing to clean your home from head to toe, on average, once a week. Without cleaning our homes properly, we will miss out on building good energy for our space. These cleaning products are all low in cost and very effective for cleaning your home.
What Do Professionals Use To Clean Bathrooms?
1. Baking Soda
Baking soda is an excellent natural cleaning product that can be used to clean the entire house, including the bathroom. Baking soda is low in cost and very effective for your home. Most people will have one box of baking soda open in their fridges to eliminate smells. It is also used when we need to remove a stain off our couch, chair or even a shirt. Baking soda is an everyday home cleaning product as well as a product we can use on ourselves, for example, cleaning teeth. Use baking soda to clean your kitchen counters, washroom showers and sinks. It works beautifully. One box of baking soda lasts up to a year, depending on where you have it and what you are using it for. Always have a few extra boxes in your home. They are very useful and effective for everyday cleaning.
2. Lemon
Lemon not only smells good, it is also good for you and is great to use for your home. Add some lemon to white vinegar for cleaning your kitchen counters and toilets. The smell of lemon will help bring down the strong vinegar scent. Lemon is a great product to use after you are done cleaning your home as well. Take a bowl and place some water in it. Add some lemon zest in the water and this will make your area smell nice and clean.
For cleaning purposes, take 1/2 a lemon and squeeze out the juice in a spray bottle. Add some water in it and a little bit of white vinegar to clean the seats of your toilets and the outside of the toilets. Instead of wiping it off with water, spray it on the outside and then wipe it off with a sponge. Aside from this, lemon is also useful for cleaning our wooden cutting boards. Additionally, lemon helps deodorize the smell in plastic containers, such as cleaning out your garbage cans. Lemon alone will not do anything to wipe away dirt. It is best used with a disinfectant product, like white vinegar.
3. White Vinegar
Not the best smelling product but one of the most effective cleaning products is white vinegar. Another low cost item to have in your home. Dilute it with water, one part water and one part white vinegar is used to clean windows and surfaces. Vinegar sanitizes the surface that you are cleaning.
If you are cleaning your kitchen counters, add a little lemon to get rid of the strong vinegar smell.
4. Pine-Sol
A universal household cleaner is Pine-Sol. Even though I do not use this as frequently, it is still a great disinfectant for cleaning the inside of a toilet. Not only does it clean the inside properly, but it also smells clean afterwards. Pine-Sol can be used to clean many parts of your home. These include cleaning your floors, sinks, counters, stoves, bathtubs, shower stalls, tiles and more. There is the original scent Pine-Sol, which is good to ward off flies. There are other scents available as well. I find the original smell too strong and recently purchased a different scented Pine-Sol. Hopefully it not as strong as the original and smells a little better.
5. Bleach
This product is good for removing stains. Household bleach works quickly and is widely available at a low cost. Using bleach is great for cleaning off mold and mildew. Bleach not only removes mold and mildew stains, but it kills the fungus. This is one of the best items to have in your home out of the 10 everyday household cleaning products. Bleach can be used for many things. Its main purposes are to clean, disinfect, whiten and deodorize.
6. Soap
When cleaning the washroom tubs, sinks and mirrors, using soap will help. There is no particular name brand soap as any kind will do. Whether you are using hand soap or a bar of soap, it is going to work. Place some soap on a sponge and the sponge will expand that little bit of soap to much more, cleaning the washroom counters, sinks, mirrors and tubs. People say do not use soap to clean the mirrors, but that is not true. You can clean the mirrors using soap and have them look clean without any marks remaining. Soap is good for cleaning your body as well as your home. I have been using it for many years and it works perfectly.
7. Sponges
It is best to buy a pack of sponges that are different colours. One colour is used for soap and another colour is used for water, to remove the soap. Also have a separate sponge for cleaning the toilets. I do not use the same sponge for the sinks and tubs as I do for the toilet. With a lemon and water spray bottle, when wiping the toilets off, use a particular sponge to wipe off the dirt from it. All three colours of the sponges are different so that you do not mix anything up. Make sure to not use the same sponge for a toilet that you use on your sinks and tubs. Having a pack of multi-coloured sponges is very useful to help clean your home.
8. Shower Brush
These are not easy to find in my area, but if you find one, buy it. I used to have one many years ago and then when it was time to find a new one, it could not be found. They have a long stick with a sponge attached to the end of it. Some of the sponges are a brush, like the one you see in the picture below.
It is perfect to use when cleaning the shower. Reaching the tops of the tiles is not so easy. Instead of standing on the edge of your tub to reach the top to clean, it is better to use a long shower brush. This is a very useful household product to have, if you can find one. After many years, I did come across a long shower brush. It is not like the one I had once before, however, it is still good and does the job of cleaning the tub. If you cannot find one, then buy a short hand version brush with bristles and use that to clean the tub. It is more work but everything will still be clean.
9. Toilet Brush
Not only does every household need one, it also needs to be replaced more frequently. If you have four or more people in your home, you need a few toilet brushes. Most of us will not buy a fancy expensive toilet brush with super strong and durable bristles that will last a long time.
The quality of toilets brushes today are not as good of a quality as they once used to be, but you still need one. Therefore, it is a good idea to have at least one extra clean toilet brush. The toilets in the house need to be cleaned properly, on average once a week. Using the brush to clean the inside of the toilet is great, but when the bristles are no longer strong, throw it away. This is because it is no longer going to work as well to clean the areas that need to have the dirt removed.
10. Microfibre Cloth
A microfibre cloth is great to use for dusting and wiping counters and tables. Separate the ones you are using by getting an assortment of colours. Use one for washing and another for dusting. Microfibre clothes will allow the dust to stick to the material and not fall off. When you dust with a regular cloth the dust will not stick to the fabric. On the other hand a microfibre cloth picks up all the dust at once, without having to go back and do it again. Once you collect the dust, none of it will fall to the ground as you walk to the garbage can to throw it in there.
All the cleaning products are low in cost and effective for cleaning your home and space. Use any one of these top cheap cleaning products to have a fresh and spotless space.
