When using it you need cut firewood pieces into 12-16″ long pieces. They will fit inside as long as they are this size. Split it with an axe or hatchet in order to have smaller tinder.
Let your fire burn down to embers and you have a charcoal barbecue. Make sure the embers are fully extinguished when you leave.
For your protection, have a fire extinguisher available in case the fire gets out of control.
