This is why it is a good time to invest in a sewing machine and sewing threads and learn to sew. The less we know how to do something that is valuable for the collective, the more valuable it becomes.

Although we continue to move ahead, in some instances it is wise to go back to basics. To get our clothes tailored today costs a lot of money. Each item is individually priced to get stitched. This is not including the time it takes time to travel, find a good tailor at a good price.

It is better to do it on our own and learn this skill in case it is needed again in the future. Fortunately, tailoring clothes and doing alterations is a little easier today. As a result of better sewing machines we are able to make them better than before.

Now they machines are much easier to work on. This is also one useful hobby to pick up because it is practical. Sewing is a valuable asset in case we cannot rely on others to do it for us. This is how I feel in our situation. Even though sewing is not something we pick up on overnight and takes time to learn, it is possible to do so and make use of it for ourselves.

As well as a 60 thread colour sewing threads suitable for hand sewing, which is $28.98. The total is $291.92. Plus tax it comes to $329.87.

This is purchase was made in 2021. Prices of everything has gone up since then.

All we need is a little material and a good sewing machine and we can make some good things happen. Additionally we can fix it ourselves without going outside to spend our money for someone to do it for us. Moreover, if we are good at it, we end up being the business others come to get their clothes altered.

In Summary

Consider investing in items that have long-term benefits instead of purchasing temporary fixes. After all, you will have to keep going back to them again when you could have probably been able to do it yourself all along. After 2020 investing in a sewing machine has turned out to be a valuable item in my home. I have fixed jeans, jackets, socks and pillow cases.

These items to get done outside would have easily cost me $50.00 for just one trip. Now I can fix my clothes and those of others as well. They will pay me for it too. This is an investment that also has the potential to become income generating.
