Back in the day when we spent time in bookstores, these were the chairs customers sat on. The owners of bookstores cleverly glued their customers to a book, sitting in a comfortable chair. These chairs helped their establishment feel warm and inviting. Their idea worked, a little too well. I used to spend several hours in a bookstore reading while sitting on a large arm chair. Many people did this, bringing their schoolwork or simply reading a book. All the chairs were occupied.
After some years, the chairs became less available and less comfortable. They changed them to hard wooden chairs and then eventually there were none. Today, they may have one or two single hard chairs in a corner. Although they attracted customers like myself in the past, they did probably did not expect for us stay for as long as we did. When we buy something that is going to cost more, look for sales. Sometimes there are discounts on items that are very good quality and nice. The chairs I chose were selling just over $500.00 each. After looking for good sitting chairs for a few weeks online, several options came up. Many of them were much more expensive.
So I came back to this product a few weeks later and the price went down to $339.99 plus tax. That is $161.00 less per chair, not including tax to spend money on. It is also the exact same product sold at over $500.00 a few weeks prior. After searching for the best office chairs for long hours to work on, these are it.
The two office chairs are the exact same and are used for working, studying, reading and writing. They are both comfortable and light in weight. Their seat is wide and the back is strong. Both chairs face different directions with a table in between them.
The office chairs are ones you want to have for a few years, at least. The total cost of the two chairs came to $768.38, tax included. Based on their original price, we saved over $500.00 and the tax on top of it. The pictures you see above and below are examples of kind of chairs we have. They are similar with a few differences.
Surprisingly, since the purchase, the price of them has gone up. Now the price is between $500.00-$800.00 for only one of these chairs. There is only one going for $250.00, a picture above, without the arms. This seat below is selling at $391.00. This is not the style I have. Although it is a reading chair, one like this is not the kind that is the most comfortable. The back is not high enough and the seat is not large enough.
Hopefully the best office chairs for long hours is the right fit for your needs. The prices of everything is rising. It is only six months since we have these chairs and the price is already up. Expect inflation to continue. The chairs I have in particular are no longer showing online. All other products similar to this one are selling at over $250.00 per item. It is a sign of everything rising.
It is better to get what you need now before the prices continue to escalate. Always look for a sale. You will be surprised how much you can save. I could easily bought the two chairs without looking around or waiting and spent over $500.00 not including tax on them. Meanwhile it is the exact same item I wanted.
